The Scary Scale

So Friday I went into the doctor's for my appointment for my mission papers. Everything was going fine and dandy, but then the doctor realized I needed to get a booster shot for tetanus, get a test for tuberculosis, and get blood work done.
What?! 3 needles in one visit??? D:
They're picking on meee :(

I strongly dislike needles and shots. They make me really anxious!
Not that you'd ever worry, but I won't become a heroin addict. No way in heck that's happening. EVER. Stabbing myself with a needle? Nope nope-ity no siree!

On a scale from puppies to spiders, shots and needles definitely fall nearer to the spiders end.

Chanel's Scary Scale:

After "DEATHDEATHDEATH" are things that would make me faint.

So scary movies and icky wounds rank the same as spiders on the Scary Scale. All three are no-nos. Like if you get them near me (or make me watch a scary movie, in that case), I'll start to panic and react like this:
Then I'll freak out a little more:
And if you keep it up I might end up having a total breakdown:
They're all absolutely terrible, and the world would probably just be better without any of them. Frogs can eat all the other insects so we don't need spiders. Scary movies are just nightmare-causing unhappiness, so they're completely unnecessary. And as for wounds? Let's just all get invincible skin :) Sounds like a plan! Okay? Okay!

Anyway... Back to the doctor's!
Getting stabbed in the same arm 3 times within 5-10 minutes of each other? That's just plain mean! And getting punctured hurts... so my mom offered to pinch me while they mercilessly jabbed me.

Yes, I'm an 18-year-old, and I still need my mommy to pinch me when I get a shot...
I know what you're thinking...
... Goodness, I'm a disgrace. I'm such a wimp! Hahaha. Okay, I promise you that next time I'll do it on my own, like a big girl!

Needless to say, my left arm was not happy with me on Friday! And it's still sore, 3 days later! But I got a snoopy band-aid, so I guess that makes it a little better... Since dogs are pretty great and all!

Alright, enough of my random story of the week! It's time for my favorite missionary!!! :)

This week Elder Gibby and his companion got a bunch of investigators to come to church! They went to their house yesterday and the kids weren't going to go, but they convinced them to. Elder Gibby and his companion waited in the front yard while they got ready for church and ended up being 25 minutes late, but they came right before the sacrament, so it was perfect!! And now they have 2 baptism dates back! Yaaay! :) Unfortunately Elder Gibby will be in another area by then, but that's okay. I think he did the hardest and most important part by teaching them and getting them to come to church! That's a stellar missionary right there :)

GUESS WHAAAT? Elder Gibby sent me another letter! But this time it has a whole whopping FOUR letters in it!! Four in one?!? YESSS. Only thing is, I won't get it 'til after I get back from Mexico :'( I'll make it though! I think I can last another two months just fine... Hahaha :)

I JUST REALIZED WHEN I GET THAT LETTER ELDER GIBBY WILL HAVE BEEN OUT FOR 6 MONTHS. Gracious, I can't wait to finally get back already! ... Aaaand I haven't even left. Oh boy... I'm getting a little ahead of myself... Hahahaha. Well, no rush... I'll be sure to enjoy my time in Mexico! :)

Just one more week! AH!

791 Days Left! :)
