Hola, Amigo.

I finally finished American Heritage!!!! Woooooo! I took the final exam today, and I didn't do nearly as bad as I thought I would! I didn't think I had studied enough...
So on Saturday I decided I would start studying. I was all motivated and like:
But then Netflix called my name...
And then I shoved my face full of brownies and ice cream because that's what I do when I get stressed.
Bad habit, I know...

But for how things turned out on that test, I think I studied plenty. Really, the only hard part was the essay questions! So yay for procrastination, Netflix, and dessert! :)

Oh! So I finally got my package shipped off to Elder Gibby last week! Yayayay!
I've never shipped a package internationally before, so it was a little frightening for me! I felt bad because I kept getting in line at the Post Office and asking questions about what would be the best way to ship it, how to address it properly, etc.  When I was writing his address and filling out the customs form I was shaking! That was plain ridiculous.

When I finally got in line to ship it, the mail guy asked me how long Elder Gibby had been out. I told him four months. He then asked if I wanted to buy any international stamps so I could both send letters and e-mail, since he knew that missionaries don't have a lot of time on their e-mail. I was a little surprised he knew so much! I could tell he wasn't LDS, but I guess he must get quite a few letters and packages for missionaries coming through. He was super nice and super helpful! Yay for awesome USPS employees :D

I didn't put all that much in the package. It only weighed two pounds! I put those 8 "Open me when..." letters that I talked about a couple weeks ago into the package:
And Elder Gibby also asked me to send him some cheesecake mix. I had no idea they even made cheesecake mix! So if you ever want to make cheesecake without going out and buying cream cheese, you can go to the cake mix section and you'll find cheesecake mix right there! For reals!

Anyway, here are the letters and the cheesecake mix!
My cousin had left a few ties here that he wasn't going to use, and they had never really been worn, so my mom told me I could send those to Elder Gibby, too. I thought it'd be nice if Elder Gibby could give a tie to investigators who maybe didn't have a tie. Or he could keep them if he wanted. Or give it to his companion. Either way, as long as they get used I'll be happy!

And, of course, I got Elder Gibby a tie especially for him! :)
It's so brightly colored, I love it! Lime green and blue :)

I didn't want to leave Elder Gibby's companion out, though. Missionaries who go foreign on their missions don't get packages very often, so I thought it'd be nice to surprise his companion and put a little something for him in there. So I got him a card and wrote a letter that I stuck inside of it. It's not much, but at least it's something! :)

This is the card:

And what does the inside say?

"Hola, amigo."

Yep. That's it. In gray, plain text. Nothing more.
It took a lot of self control to keep my laughter to a quiet giggle when I saw it. I didn't want people to stare at me in the store! I don't know why I find it as funny as I do, but as soon as I saw it, I knew it was destiny. I was meant to send this card to Elder Gibby's companion! I hope he likes it as much as I do! Hahahaha.
(I was laughing when I decided to name this post after the contents of that card. No joke!)

Hopefully Elder Gibby will get it soon! The USPS employee said it would take probably about a month. So I'll probably be halfway done with my time in Mexico when he gets it! AH! :D

So it turns out Adam's staying in his area for his third transfer. It's the smallest area in the mission, so it's not known for being too successful, but they got 12 new investigators this week! Yay! :) I'm just glad he hasn't given up even though things have been tough. And who knows, maybe they'll get blessed in this next month and a half and get good progression with some of their investigators! That'd be awesome!

...
GUYS I LEAVE FOR MEXICO TOMORROW.

I'm actually doing something cool with my life! It's an adventure!
