Ehem... An important announcement!!!!!
Okay guys, it's coming... This Friday will mark 6 months since I hiked the Y with Adam, so on Friday I will tell you the story of my first kiss, gifs included!!! PREPARE YOURSELF :)
Okie now it's time for my unrelated story of the week! :)
This past week I hung out with a couple of my friends from high school, Elias and Lori. After watching a movie, we decided to go to Sonic to get their half-off shakes after 8pm, because who doesn't like cheap milkshakes??
Anyway, so we get there and start drinking our milkshakes. And what's only natural for Lori after she takes a few sips?
SUGAR RUSHHHH!Then I got super hyper too, probably from a combination of lack of sleep and sugar crazies...
So then we blasted the radio, singing our lungs out, and were having a dance party in the car while Elias drove around.
Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to dance in a car when you have a seatbelt on. It's very restrictive! So Elias offered to stop in Costco's parking lot. So that's what we did.
Lori and I got out of the car and danced our hearts out.
Typical Monday night in the life of Chanel? Mmm... Sometimes. :)
So much fun!
Alright, now an update on Elder Gibby! :)
One day while they were sitting in the shade, a little frustrated from being unsuccessful, a dog came up to them. Elder Gibby's companion asked, "What should we do, doggie?" and Elder Gibby said, "We will follow you." The dog then turned around and walked down the street, so the missionaries followed. The dog led them to a yard with a boy in it, and they began talking to him. It turned out he was a less active member, and then on Sunday him and his mom came to Church! Awww yay :)
Are dogs the best? I think yes :)
This past week him and his companion killed 8 cockroaches, a rat, a scorpion, and a tarantula. HOLY COW I would die. I was at my sister's today and we were freaking out while her dog was playing with a GINORMOUS SPIDER. He was pouncing on it and picking it up with his mouth and whatnot... It was like this, but instead of a lime, an icky nasty spider:
Imagine a tarantula or a scorpion?? EWIE EW EW NO THANK YOU! So brave!!
So I'm in the process of doing something for Elder Gibby that I saw on Pinterest (oh, that addictive site). Basically you write someone a bunch of letters entitled "Open me when..." For each letter you write it according to a specific situation so that they can get comfort or advice from you when they need it! I thought it was so cute!
Except I'm artistically challenged so mine don't look nearly as cute these ones. Overall I wrote him 8 letters. I thought it was so great because then the letters are tailored to a specific situation. It's been fun, but it's taking a ton of time! When I write Elder Gibby an e-mail, it takes me about 45 minutes to type it all (probably because I think too much haha).
It probably seems like I'm doing this:
But I like to think of myself as a good typist, so I know I'm not that slow!
Anyway, as a result, when it comes to writing a letter, it takes me at least a good hour, usually more! I really need to work on speeding it up... Hahaha. Oh well :)
OH MY GOODNESS 2 WEEKS 'TIL I'LL BE IN MEXICO!! I know this is going to sound dumb, but I'm REALLY excited that I'm going to be in the same country as my missionary!! We won't be able to see each other since we'll still be a few hundred miles away from each other... But there's just this connection, you know?? Hahahaha.
OH MY GOSH WE'RE OUT OF THE 800s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I COULD TOTALLY HAVE ANOTHER DANCE PARTY BY MYSELF WITHOUT THE EXTRA SUGAR FROM A MILKSHAKE!!!! SO EXCITED :)
798 Days Left! :)
