Rainbows, Hiking, and Divine Intervention!

Oh MAN has this past week been insane! Yesterday I finished my last final of the semester, and today I'm heading home to Oregon! Yeeeehaw! I'm SUPER excited!!! I've missed my family so much, and I can't wait to see all my friends from back home! It feels good to be done with my first year of college :) But at the same time, I'm a little sad. Some of my friends from BYU are leaving off on missions, and for those who aren't, I won't see them until Fall semester, and it won't be nearly as often cuz we'll be in different housing :( I know I'll see my friends again at one time or another, but why do "see you later"s have to be so hard? :/ I wish all my friends could just sit on top of a happy rainbow and stay there forever… I guess I'll just have to wait until we get to Heaven until all these "see you later"s are over for good, huh? :)

Ooooor... I could just gather all my friends together and puke a rainbow for us to sit on right now! Just kidding, just kidding. Guys, that's just plain gross, even if it is a rainbow.

Wednesday afternoon I hiked the Y with a few friends! It was so much fun, and it was SOOO windy! Anyway, we took some pictures and hiked to the top and whatnot!

We're Ys at the Y!!
The view of Provo from the top of the Y :)

MERCY MEATBALLS, lying down upside down on the Y is SO SCARY! I thought I was gonna fall! Seriously, I hate heights. But it's so cool when you look at the view upside down! It's super pretty!

Me lying upside down on the Y! It looks like I'm sideways... But seriously. So scary!

Whilst we were walking up I remembered that when Adam and I hiked up in December, he was so insistent on walking on the outside of the trail, like a perfect gentleman :) He said that way, he'd be the one to fall to his death if something happened. I wasn't too sure how I felt about that, and told him I'd probably jump off after him, and it'd just end up being a tragic story about a boy and a girl hiking up to the Y. While hiking the trail I was reminded of so many little things like that, like where we slid on our butts so we wouldn't slip on the ice, where he saw a cougar (a little freaky, right?!)... Little things like that. I'm really glad I made the hike again. I think it was good for me, since it was just barely over 4 months from when we did it in December. It was a good refresher :)

I can't wait to go up on that hike with my missionary in a couple years! Eeeep! He'll be right next to me in the spot I left for him!:

Well anyway, onto MORE exciting news from this week!
So remember that Missionary Girlfriend I told you about last time? SHE SAW ELDER GIBBY!!!!!!

She said that she basically chased him down in the building haha! I'm so grateful for her! Isn't she the absolute best?!?! :D She said Elder Gibby's doing great, but he just needs to get used to the heat. He told me it's 110 F with 80% humidity. HOLY COW I WOULD DIE. She said his Spanish is pretty good for being out in the field for 3 weeks, so that's really good to hear! Yay Elder Gibby!! :) :)

In the e-mail Elder Gibby sent me today, he said he saw her and that it was weird but neat, because if he hadn't been on splits that day, he wouldn't have seen her! DIVINE INTERVENTIOOOOOON! Hahaha just kidding, but I'm sure the Lord had a hand in that some way, just because he knew it would make me so happy :)

He also told me that he keeps my picture in his little white handbook, which is always in his shirt pocket, so that way I'm always in his heart. CUTE RIGHT!?!? AH how do I have the best missionary/boyfriend ever?!? He just makes me... so... so... GOSH DARN HAPPY :D I LOVE HIM! <3

Did you know he already got two baptismal dates?! Look at this Elder go!

Anyway, life is good! I'm going to Mexico in two months, my missionary is doing well, and I'm as happy as I can be (without Elder Gibby here with me, of course ;))
